blue controller is getting expensive. probably best to keep your eye out for a used one going up for sale on whoretex.
Get that fluid/filter done though. thats a 20K service, and fluid/filter are much cheaper than replacing the LSC after you burn up the clutchpack.

im hoping i havent damaged it. My Haldex does not work after a long drive... Im just hoping the heat has not burnt out the clutch pack. the haldex getting hot and then the unit not working (slipping) is probably damaging the clutch pack.

I have been watching on vortex. The blue controllers dont go up for sale very often. I just want one by the end of summer so i have plenty of time.

edit: Just looked i didnt realize the controller went up to 1100... I think i remember it being like 800-900 last year?

I bought mine for $750 almost 4 years ago, then about a year ago they were $1000. Haven't seen prices since. Glad I got in on it early.

I really don't know what would cause the haldex to quit working after a long drive. Like I said, never threw codes, changed the fluid every 20K, and the fluid always looked nice and clean coming out. Almost as clean as the new stuff going in.

When my LSC gave out on the 225 last year, the haldex fluid was very very dark, and you could see bits of debris suspended in the fluid. I used the blue controller in the 225 almost from day one, and regularly changed fluid. Fluid continued to look good up until that last change before I noticed I couldn't get much power down in the rear.

Its a tricky thing. I still have the old rear end, and plan to disassemble it and try to reverse engineer the thing to figure out how someone could easily use it on a car not origionally equipped with haldex. Like my friends turbo bunny, soon to be an AWD track monster. Then maybe I'll trade it to him. : )

so if the LSC is bad then you would need a new haldex system correct?

LSC IS the haldex. its Limited Slip Coupling, the wet clutch system that is responsible for transferring power to the rear.
