Wel after looking around within a 200mile radius Of me in Fl....its harder then i thought to actually find a 2001-2003 awd 225 hp quatro thats #1 Black #2 not a roadster lol :/Finding a whoole bunch in California

Would any of you buy a car from a dealer across the country without driving it???

 

It depends upon where you are in FL. If you are in Miami you'll have no problems especially for roadsters. If you're in Western Florida though there is a several hundred mile gap bt Audi Dealers stretching from Mobile, AL to Tampa. As a result not to many of them exist in that area. Try Cars.com. Also, if you live near a Carmax they'll find one for you for a fee of $100-300, ship it to you,and they'll still let you test drive it before you have to pay.

go through carmax. i bought mine through them but the car was at the store i happened to go to. but you can get a car transfered for a little bit of money depending on how far you are from the car itself. i dont think that i would buy a car WITHOUT going through carmax. its the easiest process and has a great guarentee getting your moneys worth, and if anything goes wrong with the car, they take care of you.

 

Thats what i was thinking...they have a few good ones.... I was trying to pay cash for the car ....carmax is about 1000-2000.00 more...maybe i can get them down with 15 g's in my hand The only thing is....ALL of the models i looked at from car max...on their web site it has every car listed @ 180hp even the quatro awd's.... with dual exhuast...im thinking this may be just a generic thing they put in there.

I would buy something across the country, but I would have many conversations with the sales person, and then when I got there I would take it for a nice hour drive to make sure it was a good deal, and then it would be soooooo much fun to drive it back home - great idea!

 

try to see some pics of the shift **** if you see 6speed your golden(unless some dork put a 6speed **** on there)
