How do i know if my head gasket is blown or on it's way out? what are some signs? [:@]

 

Black oily streaks in your coolant tank and brown murky foam on your oil dipstick and oil fill hole on the head. Also a lot of steam when the car is cold.

 

sweet does anyone know how much it coast to do a head gasket job?

 

depends who/where you get it done. I had a head gasket done on one of my other cars years back for $400 but if you take it to Audi I am sure you're looking at the $1500 range...Also can be more or less depending on the amount of damage done to the head. If the head needs resurfacing price can go up. good luck.

nah it doesn't i'm gonna bring my car in to another shop to get looked at but my antifreeze just disappers and i don't see any leaks. but it's wierd cus once the car is warmed up the antifreeze lever goes to where it should be. i also got a check engine light that said engine misfire cyl 2 i just replace the spark plugs with some ngk's and the code keeps coming back.

 

i got a quote at $1900 for head, waterpump andtiming belt. is that good
