Headlight Project
I decided to put clear corners in my TT and while I was in there I thought I may get rid of the black surrounds as well. I followed the instructions for putting in the smoke corners (go to the clear corners on TTstuff to find the pdf.) and then used primer and then a pewter color automotive paint (duplicolor) to paint the surrounds. I used an automotive glass epoxy to put the headlight assembly back together. I also took out the rectangular amber reflectors and filled and sanded the holes before priming. It looks much better on the silver TT. It took awhile considering you have to tear the whole front end off and take your time taking apart and putting the headlight lens back on. If you have any other questions on the project let me know.
According to the clear corner directions it asks you to disconnect the alien washers but I didn't need to, there was enough hose just to lay down the bumper in front of the car.
