You have to drop the lower dash to get a good look at it. There are a few screws at the bottom and two in the fuse panel area on the side.

 

More like 5 in the fuse panel area to avoid peroids of high blood pressure while fighting to get things lined up where they should be when it goes back together.

 

Yep, i got it off now, just wondering whick sensor it is. The blue bottom one or the white one on top? To bypass it which wires would i have to mess with?

 

Have you eliminated all of the other possiblities? Bypassing the clutch safety switch should be your last resort.

 

Yes everything else looks fine. Fuses are good my battery is putting out enough volts. All cables lines, etc. are good. This seems to be the problem. Unless there are any other relays or anything that i should be checking.

 

turn the key to crank the engine and look at the tach. is therea light with "EPC" showing up?

 

When did the clutch safety switch come into the scene?

Both my 2000 and my 2001 can be started w/o pedal intervention. Assume then it showed up about the time of the ESP button?

 

my 2000 has to be compressed for the car to start.

 

Ya EPC is showing up.

 

Guess your ASR has something to do with it...
I don't have to step on the clutch to start the car.
No ESP/ASR for the win!!
