Help!! Car won't start!
If it needs to think the clutch is depressed, you need to look at the switch, and see if the circuit is open or closed in that situation. It's either gonna be cut a wire, or cut two wires, and twist them together to close the circuit.
Well that didnt work. Now i really dont know whats wrong. My hazard light is glowing slightly. My esp light and check engine light have been on since i bought the damn thing. Ive just learned to ignore them. Could it be the maf?
Find somebody near you and get it scanned with VAG-COM. You probably have a whole lot of issues going on. Have you tried unplugging the ECU for 30 minutes and plugging it back in?
Ya the battery was unplugged overnight which should of reset the ecu. Now i really dont know anybody with a scanner to come and scan it so there is my dilema. It wont start so i cant take it to autozone to get it scanned. I might go by an obd2 scanner at wal-mart. Its only $85. Any other suggestions?
Vag-Com locator... most of them will do it for a few adult beverages. As for the OBD2 scanners, they are fine to scan, but you can't reset codes with most of them. Plus the big advantage of Vag-com is that you can also log just about every channel that your ECU picks up giving you a very nice diagnostic and troubleshooting tool.
