Default HELP desperate! EPC codes!

I've searched and searched with no answers...
2002 TT 1.8t 39k miles
Normal day, driving, EPC/check engine= limp mode
Codes= P0638, p0121 (throttle actuator, tps)
Fixed 2 vaccuum leaks/cleared codes= ran FINE the next day
Day after, codes came back and wont clear
Replaced with new upstream O2 sensor, Throttle body, TPS
Shop said the throttle actuator will "not sync in ranges" (like 15-50%)
Cleaned sensor by throttle actuator
Car stays in limp mode
Checked all wire connections
VAGCOM scanned- code for Throttle body shows as soon as I turn on key

Does ANYONE have an answer?
Just bought this low mile car for my wifes b-day. Had it 8 weeks, 1st week had new guages put in ($1200), power window ($500), drove for 2 weeks now this.... So far $800 more..
We only have one car right now and need help!!!!

Any help is appreciated!

I checked here and can't find either of those codes. maybe I missed them but you should be able to find any code here plus recommend steps for resolution:

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index...P0407%2F001031

FWIW, looks like you are paying near dealer prices for repairs. Pulling the cluster is a DIY and there are places that do rebuilds for 2-400. Like these guys: http://modulemaster.com/en/services/...t_clusters.php

A good place for OEM parts at discount prices is: http://genuineaudiparts.com/partloca...?siteid=214407

I know it looks like the sky is falling, but it's not. You bought a low mileage, nearly 10 yr old car. And, because it is an Audi and not a honda or toyota, it will be expensive to maintain. just my 2 cents.

It's too bad that someone didn't tell you in advance that you don't own a TT, you support it. Had they, you'd be much happier.

good luck.

Haha! Supporting it lol
The codes were off a generic OBD, listed as throttle actuator and tps.
Shop says this: "VAGcom reads normal 0.423v on one side of throttle body, 1.5v on other- way too high" Throttle body wont align correctly...
Anyone??

What codes did your shop guy pull up? With VAGCOM, you should be able to match them to those listed in ROSS-TECH. Else, see a more competent indy or go to the dealer (as last resort.)

Since I'm no mechanic, my usual plan, (if not an obvious DIY) is competent indy, then dealer, and i hate paying dealer prices too.

Also, If you are a DIY guy too, get a copy of the Bentley Servive manual for the TT. About $60 at amazon and worth every penny.

cheers.

Default Fixed it

Well, after lotsa money spent, it was the ECU. Bought a used one and had it reprogrammed. What a pain! The cars gone now, thank God! Never buying Audi again!
