Help! Lean, Misfire, Coolant Leak
OK, I'll do my best to make sense of this...
I have a 2002 Audi TT, the small one (1.8), no mods whatsoever. i have about 145,000 miles on it. Aour 6 months ago I started getting a CEL for running lean (usually 1070,sometimes 1136). I got a cheap vag that could read basic codes and clear them, but not the real advanced stuff.
Here is what I have done.
Replaced front O2 sensor. INightmare to getout, and may have foulded the new one gettingitin, but I don't think so.
Replaced MAF.have also taken the new MAF out and coeaned it several times. Also replaced air filter--always dry ones, never oiled.
Replaced most of PCV. i orderd all parts according to a guide online, and pnehose was completely disolved. Was unble to replace suction pump and a hose to top of block, as they did not match the replacement parts, but they
looked OK. Di a good spray teat with carb cleaner and nothing is pinging.
I cracked one of the SAI hoses whenI was replacing the PCVt--the smaller ribbed vacuum hose. I was able to tape it up prettty good, amdI don't think it is really the problem, but I guess I could (although it is like 80bucks for a 2 dollar hose).
Also, when i was ying to reconnect pne of the SAI hoses, my hand slped and I banged into somethng else. Next thing I know, there is coolant leaking out on teh right side of the block. Cannot see from where, just a puddle. I later figured this was the coolant temp sensor. Don't lnow how I made it leak--it doesn't seem to leak anymore, but my levels are low,and temp gauge is funny, and I mot throw random misfire codes.
So, with all that said, where is a guy with little mechanical aptitude to go?
Thanks in advance. This car, which my wife refuses to let go, has been driving me guano crazy of late, so I would appreciate anything that keeps me from puahing it into a swamp.
