Help.. New to the TT World
Ok, so I sold my supercharged R32 and i am a huge VW guy...
BUT, I just picked up a used TT from a guy for the cheap. there have been no issues to this point (well besides after chipping it found out
the guy had the wrong Spark plugs in it)
NOW Here is my issue, I am having an issue with the haldex unit ( I think )
the car is a 2001 225 Quattro, and the haldex unit keeps citting out on me, so basically I have a front wheel drive
Quattro...[:@]
NOW BEFORE you FLAME I did a search on Haldex troubleshooting, and issues.
has anyone ever heard of this, and I am guessing that the Arseholer most likely did not change the fluid or filter
(seemed like your typical non maintenance kinda type of guy)
Also, do you guys think that I could see improvement from changing the filter and fluid?
I am planning on it anyway, but I'm a little freaked out right now about having to replace the unit..
ANYONE.......Bueller, Bueller

Had the same thing happen to me last year on the way back from H20. Really can't give you an answer though, because it lasted about a week, I couldn't find the problem, and then it stopped again.
Did you find the haldex 'test'? You can find out easily if its engaging at all by coasting in a flat parking lot in a tight circle from about 15mph. Once in neutral, once with the clutch depressed. It should take about half as many turns to come to a stop with the clutch depressed.
