Hi everyone, i recentyly got converted over from mustang land where the forums where filled with chatter about who raced what and all that. now im happy to get be getting my tt (hopefully ill pick it up tommorow) but what makes me sad is it looks like theres no competitive spirit over here. doesnt anyone race anyone, or is everyone discreet about it? well i think that if you have a story to tell, win or lose, you should tell it here. and please lets not flame anyone.

 

Because most people here -myself included- think streetracing is downright stupid.

Most people here like to track their car, it wasn't made for 0-60 times (2nd goes to 55 d'oh!) or 1/4 miles anyway.

 

i know, but still no one has any storys to tell? nice car by the way i love the color.

 

well because the two most annoying drivers on the road (to my experience) are sh!tstang drivers and dumb kids in civics. Both think they can and will try to race everyone on the road. And like josh said, road racing is stupid.

 

Well i think any car can be whatever you want it to be I can attest to that having a 9 second Chevy Cavelier Long taken apart by now... But with a base of 225 hp the TT can easily be a 1/4 mile car And to cover the street racing thing....ive had my share of street racing ...running from the cops....BS i was in highschool and now i value being OUT of jail to much to test it. I still play from time to time but 2nd 3rd gear and then shut off none of this honda civic ricer in and out of traffic i wanna get killed crap. I dont mind when people drag race on a deserted street.late at night..if they kill themselves, well they new what may happen. But not when stupid kids endanger innocent people @ like 9 oclock at night on bumper to bumper traffic.

 

I am a fan of Auto X, but I dont mind kicking some stang butt every now and then. Except for that damm fox body style, you can make those things quick!

 

Im not a ford fan....but if i did the lx fox body would be the car Black with welds skinny fronts wide rear..600 hp torque monster..clean simple .nastyyy

I didn't get embarassed by an STi last night...

Dead even through 3rd and 4th until I shifted into 5th... Then I lost a few carlengths.

Is this even possible?
Was it a re-badged WRX?
Or did I put the STi on too high of a pedestal, I thought they were much faster than our cars...

 

I usually don't street race, prefer to keep it to the track. However, every once in awhile I do some spirited driving up the canyons with my friend in his 350Z, although I wouldn't really call that racing as we are not trying to beat each other as much as just get to the top as fast as safely possible..
