Default How Do I Know.

This is a really dumb question.. But since I acquired my TT back in Nov. In the beginning I thought it was a 4cyl. Hahaha. I know I am retarded. It took me 3 months to realize it was a 6cyl. But I am still curious of one other thing.. How do I know if it's 3.2 or 225 model. I have the dual exhaust in the back with a 6 speed manual. When I open the hood I see a sign that says 5v turbo on it. How can one tell the difference between 225 and a 3.2? Not sure if this will help but the yr of the car is 2003 or 2004 I really didn't pay much attention to the details when I bought it.

you have a 1.8 liter20 valve(5 valves x4)4 cylinder turbo rated at 225hp. This model also has all wheel drive (quattro). ProbablyBEA engine code.
The six cylinder is a 3.2 liter v6 rated at 250hp. I believe it was only available as a semi auto dsg transmission.

So. My TT isn't a 6cylinder? That is depressing.

No actually it isn't depressing because your engine has far more potential than a 6cyl does. You can do a simple ecu reprogram to up that hp figure to 260-270hp with 280ftlb of torque. Your car gets far better gas milage on the road than any other sports car in its class.

Where or how do I get an ecu reprogram? And by doing that will I start seeing alot of complications with the car? Yah the gas mileage is nice. I get about 450 miles on a tank.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what you call an informed buyer.

lol lurks for 4 months just to post that? Doubtful.

Just very misinformed/uninformed/apathetic. When you live in California, home of some of the highest gas prices in the US and don't know whether your car is an inline 4 or a V6...or what year your car is it's pretty much drop dead obvious that it was ignorantly bought on a whim as a tool to get laid [:@]
