lol lurks for 4 months just to post that? Doubtful.

Just very misinformed/uninformed/apathetic. When you live in California, home of some of the highest gas prices in the US and don't know whether your car is an inline 4 or a V6...or what year your car is it's pretty much drop dead obvious that it was ignorantly bought on a whim as a tool to get laid [:@]

Ever think I really didn't care much at the time? Only reason I even considered a TT was cause I didn't want to get the s2k. Hell I didn't even go to the dealer to look at the car. Just paid an auto broker to handle the paper work and deliver the car to me. I glanced at the paperwork I recalled it saying it was 225 and 2003. But one day I was looking through TT videos and I don't recall which one it was. But some guy had mentioned the 225 was a v6 (when I had always thought the car was a 4). Hence I was misinformed.

I won't deny that I did not do any research prior to buying a TT. It was different from an s2k, and helped that not everyone was driving one. So I chose the Audi. Your comment about, "ignorantly bought on a whim as a tool to get laid." Is very ignorant. So you tell me when you meet a girl. You tell her, "hey babe. I drive a TT." And that is going to get you laid? ROFLLMAO. I always thought it was the thickness of my wallett that got me laid.

@Themysteryman83. I want to thank you for answereing my questions.

No, I show up in it. Come on, it's no secret that fancy cars draw girls' attention more than run down beaters. And based on what you stated, what am I supposed to think you bought it for? You don't know what engine is in it or how much power it makes, you never even drove it or examined it before you bought it. You obviously weren't concerned about performance, economy or condition of the car.

I always thought it was the thickness of my wallett that got me laid.
And what do you think driving a nice car reflects? The TT is not that expensive of a car but it sure looks the part. Ironic spelling of "walleTT" btw[8D]

Maybe I'm overly harsh but ignorance/apathy bothers me. Perhaps you bought the TT for some reason I don't realize (not to get laid?), but either way I think it's stupid to buy one without knowing jack **** about it even on a superficial level.

The spelling of wallett. Seriously was a typo. I concur that driving a nice car does imply that you have money. But seriously. You meet plenty of girls while driving?? Or do you meet them at social gatherings? You aren't going to meet a girl at a bar and tell her, "pls come outside and look at my car." What you are going to do is buy her drinks and try n show her a good time etc. That is showing your wallet.

Seriously I never really cared how much hp a car has, how fast it goes etc. All that means nothing to me for the simple fact. You can drive a ferrari. But if you aren't willing to push your car. All that power n speed means nothing. Though it's nice to have I agree. But wasted. As for me not knowing jacksh!t about the car. Like in previous post. I never denied not researching more info about the car. Why do you care what ppl do and how they spend their money? It may have been a bad choice on my part not researching or knowing anything about the car on a superficial lvl. But isn't that what these forums are for? To help ppl who know jacksh!t about their car find answeres? Had you read in my response to your post. You would have realized I was right about the info I knew about the car. 4cyl 225 hp, 2003 quattro. So flame me for getting the wrong impression/knowledge about the car from a video that I saw.

I just asked a question. So I could get a better understanding and acquire more knowledge. So my willingness to learn about a car that I drive. My questions. Makes me an idiot in your eyes? TYVM & thank god not everyone on these forums share your same perspective. Or else these forums will be filled with posts like yours.

Trust me, I'm nice, wait till diehlryan or cincyTT say something. Cincy will boost control your mom[8D]

Like I said ignorance and apathy bother me and I think i made that clear enough, so I don't see a need to continue. If you have any questions about the TT I'll answer them gladly.

Just one thing I'm curious about, why did you buy a TT? What made you want it?

Bro since you know how to use these forums I'm pretty sure you would have read the big sticky topic that says FAQ.

After Themysteryman83 replied to read the faq. I did read it. I am seriously no good when it comes to understanding the in's n out's of an engine. Every car I ever owned. The most I ever did was install a sound system and ground effects on it. I don't bother to change the oil much either. Only with the TT, was after driving it. I realzied it was a fun car to drive. Hence I want to take care of it a little better than previous cars. Plus I live in Cali, and in the near future I will be moving to TX. I want to make sure the car is able to make the drive there.

@murderface. Thank you. Honestly. You gonna regret saying that. hahaha. I can be annoying and ask stupid questions as you can see . As for the reasons why I chose the TT. I was originally going to get an S2K. But thought everyone drove that car. I told myself I would never buy another japanese import cause it was too common. I never could buy an American car (steering wheel too light and interrior is ugly). I wanted a German car. BMW's are nice but over rated. I happened to stumble across an ad of a TT for sell. So I was like, hey this car is pretty cool looking (and it's German made), not many ppl drive them either. Which is a big plus.

Honsetly the only thing I did prior to buying the car. Was decide wether a roadster or the coupe. I could have gotten the roadster for 4k cheaper than what I paid for the coupe. But opted not to go with roadster cause through wear n tear the convertible will make noises and I heard it leaks.haha I told my auto broker, find me a TT coupe, black, with dual exhaust and a 6 speed trans.. He found it, told me the price. I said ok and he delivered the car to me.

Make sure to keep up with maintenance on the TT, it will kick your *** if you don't. Change the oil with full synthetic ever 7k or so etc to keep it running nicely. If I were moving to texas I would have chosen the roadster probably. The coupe looks much better but driving around almost year round with the top down would be fun. Just my opinion though, coupe's still really fun in the sun.
