well in concerns for me when i did the chip it made a big difference and also i have a straight pipe no cat no resonator only catback that also really helped with performance not with mpg mileage though anyways props to you're car man i know i love the low end torque in mine.
Chips are the best bang for the buck out there. I loved when I got mine. I chipped it within weeks of having the car. I had never experienced an upgrade like that before....plug in and dump the code WOW, cool. It was a whole new car. I have had my 225 since Feb/March 07. Once I did my downpipe/test pipe/catback it was like getting chipped all over again!

This car is my first taste of VW/Audi. I came from the DSM world of the 4g63 where power came cheap and easy to install... unlike this platform (talking big upgrades turbo ect.). A turbo upgrade on my 97 eclipse spyder cost me only $900!! A Garret "Big T28" direct bolt on and no engine management needed. Oh well tho the TT looks better and is classier. Fits better with my "grown up" side and chicks dig it.

Get those vids up man I wanna see the races, LOL!

They sure do put out good numbers on the evos. If they put out the same on the wrx, that should be a nice setup.

wrx has 335awhp right now on a dyno that reads stis at ~200awhp stock... got tuned at amr in westchester and they did good work...

we're calling in quits now though, because A. i dont wanna blow the motor and B. the tranny is probably at its limits too and C. we maxed out the MAF anyway so we cant go anywhere

True, by no means is it the biggest but for a direct bolt on for $900 shipped I wasn't complaining, would you? Thanks for bursting my bubble cincy! The FP BigT28 was a good street turbo for an entry level price, and I enjoyed it.

I guess you could look at it the same as folks changing our their k03s for a K04. In this case however you get alot more power out of the upgrade.

Is the WRX yours or your brothers or both? I have heard you talk about it before and I am confused who actually owns it.
