How does this deal look?
Hey guys,
Im in the market for a new year round daily driver. I was looking at the 350z(unreliable, poor fuel milliage), sti (ugly), or the tt. I havnt been to check out a tt yet but I found this one on autotrader and just wanted to get some feedback from you guys if it seemed like something worth going to look at. Its right in my price range. the milliage looks about right, looks clean, has warrenty. color combo looks nice. so what do you guys think? its not a far drive from chicago so I might go this weekend to take a look at it.

any common problems with this year/model tt that I should look for? is there a year/model that is more desirable?
thanks alot for any advice you guys could give, I know I should just go look at it for myself, but wanted to put it up here to see what everyone thought of it.
thanks

I'd be a little weary of this dealership for 2 reasons.
1.) They can't get their facts straight about the car. They claim it's a 5 speed then say 6 speed.
Not that it's an issue. It just didn't impress me; they can't give straight forward information.
2.) The carfax report says that the first owner was in an accident.
Also the car was sold to the second owner through an auction.
Personally I wouldn't buy a car that's been in an accident.
The price and mileage do seem about right.
I'd definitely take the car for a test drive and check it out as much as possible before making a decision to purchase.
Best of luck on your search for a TT!

hey thanks for looking out man. I will keep looking for a tt with a straight history. I noticed that also about the 5spd/6spd but didnt pay much attention to it. I would have ran a carfax for sure if it came to that point were I was seriously considering the car. thanks for checking that for me, you saved me a bunch of time. im sure I can find one with a clean history for the same price.
thanks again
thanks again
Yeah - I'm in agreement with Becca
There's a big difference in the tranny/engine combo between a 5sp and 6sp.
It's too high a price for one that's been in an accident
