Had a close call many moons ago whilst stationed in Germany driving in 6"deep blizzard conditions... lol - so I feel for ya, mate. [:-]

But I agree with Avant - like a buddy of mine would say is "Rubber on ice is rubber on ice." Though chains help, but not much if the ice is thick.

i was called crazy last year because i was running summer sport tires thru a NY winter. Tell ya what though, keeps you on your toes. Looking back, it was crazy . You can get complacent when you expect your car to always do well because its sorta equipped to do so.

BTW, the rollback picked the car up about an hr ago, i should have a phone call with an estimate by the end of the day. If they replace the front clip, i'm gonna have to bondo and paint the euro plate cutout all over again.
