RE: How many of you will come to the dark side?
new 1series looks like a little drift machine inmy eyes!

God knows I like BMWs (I've owned 3), but the transition won't be favorable. BMW's are heavier, slower, and a far cry less attractive than Audi...plus, the handling isn't even comparable (in Audi's favor). I saw the 1-series when I was in france last year and they are pretty goofy looking. Remember also when BMW introduces a model to the US it will be costly to repair and maintain until it has been in production for a few years.
If you have to go BMW, go with the ZM3 Coupe.... Now that's sexy...

That's not a Mz3, but it's the z3 coupe..gotta love those cars...ORIGINAL: p1zl3

I originally liked the bmw coupe, but with the original z3 styling being dated, it's just starting to look more like a cockandballs and less like a car.
The z4 coupe is a nice (yet still phallic) replacement.
I would totally dig a Ti type hatchback 1 series, although I don't see that happening.

Yep.. Im savin' up for a 135i. I am a huge Audi and BMW fan. Just got back from Germany, and toured around the Audi factory, it was pretty awesome. But anyway, twin turbo inline 6.. Like McDonalds, I'm lovin it.

I like BMWs and Audis both. I think BMWs are moderately nicer, but I think an Audi says alot more about the owner than a BMW. BMWs tend to be an "off the shelf" upper middle class standard these days. I can't stand 3 series BMWs though (except the M3). 7 series are realllly nice but they're way too big for my taste. On my way out of Korea I plan on getting either a 5 series, M3, or G35 coupe(still keeping the TT). I really love the 545i that car mezmerizes me. -shrugs-
I like the 1 series because I don't consider it a status car.
It sounds *** backwards buying a bmw for a reason other than the "it's a bmw" factor.
I'll be buying it because it looks good on paper.
It has everything I want in a car (except a sub 2000 lb curb weight lol) and i'm buying it based on it's worth as a driver's car, nothing else.

My '96 BMW has higher insurance than my '02 Audi... I like them but bye bye bmw. Not made of money.
