I always loved my 03 530i but with a second child on the way the car seats had no chance of fitting in my car. Long story short...looked at a Toyota Sienna at a slimy dealership and after wasting 2 hours of my time I saw the Audi dealership next door. A couple hours later I am driving out with an 06 A6 4.2 loaded. What an incredible machine. The back seat is like a couch with enough room for me 6'2" and my son in his car seat behind me.

I also saw the Porshce Carrera GT in the showroom. 478K! Maybe next year ;-)

By the way...BMW is not the darkside...my other car is a 635csi which I still love...

 

I consider the new styling of the E60 the dark side. I loved my car but the growth of the family forced me into my A6 ;-)

The 635 is a sweet ride. That is a classic style that always turns my head.

 

I am with you on the styling...I can't stand the E90 either....

What comes with the A6 Tech package?? Bluetooth integration?

The great thing about the 4.2 is that most of the optional equipment on the 3.2 is standard on the 4.2 I am a huge XM fan and that was the only option I would change (it came with Sirius) I really liked the Artic Gray and they only had one. The rest of their lot was black, silver, white, tan (sure there is a fancy name) and blue.

The voice recognition is a pretty sensitive. I was trying to work with it (phone, radio etc..) and my son asked why I was getting mad at my new car. I guess he could tell I was getting frustrated.

 

Oops..and Oh yes it has Bluetooth integration. I have the Motorola RAZR and it works perfectly. It will import all addresses and phone numbers into the local address book in the car. It will only import if the info is local to the phone (on the SIM card)
The microphone works very well. I was talking to my wife and she asked why I was yelling. I guess I have to get used to it.

 

That is the one thing that I wish my car had....sounds nice!

That is a really nice car.

I am also a big fan of BMW. I had a 2004 M3 6spd, and a 2004 330 Coupe 6spd, and I loved them both. But I just don't like the design direction they have taken on. The new M6 however is awesome. Enjoy your A6.
