Re: FWD vs 4WD... I currently have a 180 FWD with moderate tuning... I never launch anyway, and I need economy as this is my daily driver (try taking a 2000 mile trip every month!) so I do not really need 4WD.
I would venture to say that, from a roll, my car would likely keep up with similarly modded quattros and perhaps even step ahead a bit... I'm saying this because, so far, my car has beaten some QUICK cars (I'm not the type to 'kill and tell', especially because they're all friends). Let's say that includes a properly-driven M3 and a halfway decently driven 2000 911.

ORIGINAL: Fan of Boost
people use stage one, not as an upgrade, but to remove check engine lights before adding larger turbos or other mods that trip them. Stage one for me was worthless in power. I went to stage 2 for driveabiltiy. I think the times are mis leading, because stage 1 is not much different from stock, someone has added something else for those times. But the stage 2 time seems very typical for most. One HOM however which is the high octane mode switch with 100+ fuel

FOB trust me I love SRT-4's and I was debating on getting on myself before I got my TT. But after a few mods I raced my friend in his SRT-4, he has exhaust, intake, boost controler, and running about 18psi. When I was stock we would keep it close and he would usually beat me by about a half a car, now that I have my chip, and intake its no comparison, with the exhaust and FMIC and maybe forged internals and nitrous, it may be even a better race(for me). One of the main things that I like about the TT is that not that many people know what you have, they either think its a twin turbo or are just confused. A SRT-4 or a EVO everyone knows what you have and about how fast you are. The muscle head guys are usaully like WTF that little car got in it? Plus I turn alot more heads when I drop the top and cruise!!! But really SRT-4 will allways have a place in my heart, but so will the TT, it really depends on you and what you want. Have you ever autocrossed your SRT? I used to be just a 1/4 mile kinda guy but I have started to get into autocrossing and trust me once you do it your hooked, its so much different, downshifting, turning, babing the throttle on the edge of boost I love it to death!
id say with around the same hp as us, it should be pretty fair, im sure we probably weigh less and cant get the launch but from a roll, im sure i could hang with a modded tt, i guess im not positive, i have never really raced one. I just know that an sti shouldnt give u guys any threat since i can rip on them pretty good. Same with most v8s, except those new vettes, pretty fast little cars. maybe these audis are faster than i think they are. I didnt know the chip and intake and so on can actually add so much
Yea I mean I raced a friend who has a modded and i mean modded imprenza (not sti) but he walks sti's he says, when i was stock he put about a car and a half maybe on me, now its neck and neck, you gota love the AWD and it allways sucks for the guy that has to play catch up.
