What is the difference between a B5 and a B6 S4? sorry im new hehe

 

Are you asking about the specs and performance differences or the cosmetic differences.
There are a lot of differences in either case.

The first obvious difference is the B5 has a 2.7 twin turbo V6 engine while the B6 has a 4.2 V8.

 

b5 2000 to 2002
b6 2004 to 2005

 

oh ok thanks thats what i needed to know. that means i need an 00-02 if i want the twin turbo 2.7?

but isnt the most recent body style an 03 and 04? so that means the only engine you can get in those is the V8?

 

Yes....?
The B5 is the earlier style.
The B6 is the latest style.
The B7 is about to arrive - a newer style with the larger grille.

 

and so the B5s only have the 2.7T and the B6s only have the 4.2 v8 gotchya. thanks
