Default how to reset "SERVICE" warning? 2000 tt 1.8

i just dont know how its been there for a few months now and i want to reset it any help? thanks

Turn Key to OFF.
Press and hold the button on the right of your cluster
Turn key to ON (still holding button on right)
Press left button (still holding button on right)
It should say service in XXXX miles...

does that change the intervals or does that just reset it back to a new interval ?

just resets it. you can change the interval with vagcom.
