Default Sick of seeing that annoying Service "warning"?

...When you know you've changed your oil/filter or had it changed?

I may be the last person on earth to learn this "trick" (on D2's...D3?), but in case you haven't heard, here it is:

The Service message is, of course, just a reminder to change oil/filter, which trips automatically every 10K miles on the odometer and continues to come on until it is reset...during warranty, the dealer does it if they change your oil. It can also be reset with Vagcom or some deluxe code readers, which I do not have....just a basic generic code reader.

1. - Hold in the "000.0" button (trip-odometer reset) on far right of instrument cluster WHILE turning the key to ignition on.

2. - Release button and leave ignition key on.

3. - Push the "Check" button on the far left of instrument cluster.

4. - You should see a message saying "Next Service 10,000 Miles".

Voila.

No more nagging to do something you've already taken care of
