just if you didn't know... and I would suggest second gear instead of first because I've only had to use this technique once and when the person driving (I was pushing) tried to start it in first, the car literally jerked itself into a stall because he didn't give enough gas. then he tried second and it worked like a charm. i didn't read every comment above me but from the first thing you said this seemed appropriate

 

Of course, right in the manual it says not to pop start the car.

 

never pop start push start or w/e and awd car especially with haldex don't know why? google why!
