I got my TT!!! First mod?
chip intake dv those 3 first, then get into exhaust and suspension
doesnt really matter the order, but you should start with whats giving you the most bang for your dollar and another thing is what kind of quality you want in your parts, there are some cheap good performing mods out there but they arent going to look very pretty, so it really comes down to your personal preference

^ heh.
if you wanted most BANG for your buck would be Chip(well diode mod)/ Downpipe/ W/M... give or take aFMIC.
as for an intake/DV/boost gauge/etc., they're not really for your bang, but more for your buck.those are more like assist mods for the above ^
if you want more bang, then go BT... but not so buck

It depends on what you want to improve on your TT first. The Look or power. If the look of your car, I'd start with nice wheels, 'cause nice wheels make car nicer and faster
as well. if power mods, start with chip+DV+ better air filter, than suspension, exhaust etc......[sm=icon_rock.gif]

Maintenance should be your first mod... It's expensive!
Make sure your car is in perfect running order before upgrading.
Quattro or FWD?
How many miles are on your TT?
Do you know for a fact if there is synthetic oil in the engine?
As for your washer fluid... notice any puddles under the front driver's side by the bumper/wheel well?

This is NOT putting down the 180 owners.
That said:
Why do people buy 180's, and before they make their first car payment ask "what mods should I do?"
Doesn't it make sense to look around and buy a 225 to start with?
You can find them within $1000 of each other in similar condition and miles.
You can make a 180 fast, that's obvious from our members.
But 45 hp for a grand is about as cheap as it gets.

I didn't even know the TT was offered in a 180 model and 225 model, when I was in the car-buying market.
If you don't do research what can you expect?
Maybe some people want a 5 speed compared to a 6 speed.
Have you ever met a dealer that will go out of their way to explain the differences in all of the used TT models... when they have brand new S4s sitting on the floor?
There are lotsa reasons I'm sure, but I also think there's an unspoken competition of who can build the fastest car.
Silver TT's automatically get 5 whp!
