Default I have no idea if you will see this.

I have been trying to post and reply many items on this forum, and have been getting "ASP" errors left and right. This is really ridiculous. Cincy TT: I see that you flame many people for complaining and saying there is a section for it, or refer to a post an admin has sent out. I have tried to post to a "problems" section with out success. You are a knowledgeable guy and all and contribute a lot, but this really isn't acceptable. I really hope your being compensated for your defensive efforts. I will speak for myself when I say I have spent a lot of time on many replys, only to find an ASP error.

This site is rated 52,000 on Alexa. It has banner AD's and I'm positive it makes returns. There is no reason as to why this site should not be running properly. It's either laziness, ignorance, or greed, that's it. Because of the content on this site, people come back, but that can run out when another site arrives with equal traffic stats and content.

I would only browse this forum for a period, but now that I am getting more involved, it's hard to interact. The Owner(s), Developers. and System admins should really get together and fix this. I know for a fact they own other popular forums (A Dodge one) as they experienced a DNS one day - so they make money, so now spend it on infrastructure and talent. We are the ones that pay your bills (Ad's), and I honestly take offense to this negligence. Being in IT, I'm surprised this has been going as long as it has. If you need some consulting, feel free to PM me, if you can....

.ASP is a program used in the setting up of a domain and if they get even one letter wrong that's what happens, the mods cant do anything but wait for the site owner to fix it and many have had similar experiences including me so im also interested.

"ASP.NET is a web application framework developed and marketed by Microsoft," - Wikipedia. I have no problems with ASP, the point is that they simply need to fix it ( the app, not platform). The platform is not the problem (well, kinda), but what they didn't do to anticipate growth. As an IT professional, I could recommend better platforms, etc, but fact is that this site is simply broken, and they need to fix it. It's a shame that I am now able to complain about it, but many of my reply's were lost. Ah well.... A formal explanation would be nice, or even a cry for help....

im no tech on computer software but as I see it .ASP is part of the process and a KEY to the programming and running of a site to allow people to communicate and getting it wrong causes this problem but that down to forum/site owner and I doubt any mods have access to that part unless someone is deliberately sabotaging people's rights to act as members of a site like withdrawing some rights ( similar to blocking someone ) then mods have this right so it could be an issue but the mods need to act on this because its a site killer when people start disappearing for no reason due to frustration on posting issues "not good at all"

Sorry if I was not clear - this is in NO way an issue with moderators on this site. I was just prefacing my statment as I figured I would get push back from mods. Your non-technical assessment is on point!

I can reproduce the issue anytime with a reply I have saved. No matter when I try to reply with it, it always fails. I'll certainly send this to someone on staff if they like, that may help. So, I think the issue is still here, but possibly a specific character combination is causing it. There are obviously other bugs that we can actually see with some characters, such as " ' " . ( The forums somehow add and additional " to the post ). OK, I think my rant is over, sorry/thanks -

Yea, the mods don't take system complaints too well. I'm not much of a computer guy but I would like the site to work effeciently. I have had problems posting in the past, but things seem to be better lately.
