a 750/month payment would be approx half a months 'official' paycheck. Considering I just put rent/deposit down on a $900/month apartment, an additional car payment like that would make me very sad. But more power to ya if you can do it. I call shotgun.

But I DO plan on buying either a Lotus or a 70's era Porsche as a daily driver (go figure) once the TT is paid off and put more to dedicated track use.

Yes, I COULD use either of the other cars mentioned as track cars, probably with much less work, but wheres the challenge? Plus, I have a head start on the TT.

On the upside, I think I know a company that makes a ton of really top notch accessories for Porsche, Audi, and BMW.... ; )

ORIGINAL: MeanAudiA6

that is the one with the funky new turbo right>?
No, it's the one you're looking at

That generation of 911 is called the 996...the turbo version is twin turbo hence the TT part. The new one is the 997 and it has variable size turbine inlets...pretty simple concept/mechanism actually.

415hp and 415 lbs torque mmmm that porsche exhaust note is so sweet im gonna drive this monster this week and will post a followup with my thoughts...i dont wanna sell or trade the TT for anything but this black porsche is calling my name
At very least take it for a test drive and romp on it. If it's tuned, it's an experience you will never forget.

I hope it's tuned...did any of you ever look at the pricing on APR's 911 turbo chips? Something like $2000+ if I recall.

I liked the 993's the best.

But this '97 widebody GT2 is where it's at.

simple concept, difficult application. I'd love to use a VVT in my car, but its a bitch in an aftermarket situation.
