I liked the 993's the best.

But this '97 widebody GT2 is where it's at.

My brother has a 74 911 that he converted to a GT2. Only difference from his to the ones posted in link is that he has all steel flares. Currently my older brother is working on his 1973 911 aswell. He has already completed the body work to upgrade it to a 996tt. He also has the 996tt engine that he is putting in it. Once the 996 conversion is complete, i'll post pics of it here.

Tom, Audi VVT = Variable Valve Timing (GASP! VTEC!) (Actually, sorta, but not quite)

The VVT I was talking about is Variable Vane Turbine, otherwise known as Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG), Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT).

ive always loved the quicker porsches. the only thing i cant get over is the body style. everytime i see one, i hear the miami vice sound track in my head lol. waiting for don johnson to pop out with a mean lookin mullet 6, if your gonna go newer, wait for the tts/rs to come out. stay true to the game. you'll love yourself for it. oh and BEACH CHAIR, if you want to see some cool *****, go to champion porsche/audi in pompano. those guys are awesome. so far, theyve done about 5k$ in warranty work for me, and its only cost me 50$. plus, theyve got some of the sickest cars ive ever seen at a porsche audi dealership.
