Long story short... I pulled the manifold, repaired the nipple, and now I need the torques and torque sequence for the manifold bolts on the Intake manifold (MK1 TT 225 quattro AMU 1.8t)
Anyone have this info on hand?

 

you just bought all that stuff (vag, lemmi.. etc) and didn't get a bentley manual?

 

You could probably get away with torque specs based on bolt diameter rather than exactly what the manual says. Who knows, they may actually match.

I googled 'torque specs by metric bolt diameter' and this is one of the hits:

As for sequence, just remember you're trying to spread the load, the same as if you were doing lug bolts. You could probably pick up any diagram from the internet for any manifold, or maybe even a valve cover, that has the same number of bolts/studs.

 

i just did the normal diagonal sequence and tightend one turn past where its very snug

 

I got it from vortex. someone said to torque them inside out; that way the gasket wouldn't bunch up and kink. doubted it would anyway. But yea, its all done.

 

inside out and snug should be more than good

 

It sure was. I couldn't believe how much difference in appearance it made just pulling the manifold off and cleaning it and the surrounding parts real well. Like night and day.
