I'm guessing v1 has gps now like the 9500? I have owned many detectors before... 9500 is by far the best; however, it is also the most $$$. More then a v1.

I know it's pretty expensive, but this is the detector that I have and it rocks. Like it really wrecks shop. I know it's expensive, but I just thought that instead of having to upgrade again, I would just get a really, really good one to start with; I also thought that buying a more expensive one could perhaps mean that it was of better quality, and assuming that it has saved me from at least one speeding ticket that a cheaper model radar detector maybe would not have, I feel like it's already paid itself off. Also, I wanted it to be concealed because I have known friends whose cars have been broken into simply for their radar detector/gps navigation device (like a "tomtom" type thing), so I did not want a detector that was like suction cupped to my window or in plain view from the outside of my car. So I have it mounted on the bottom section of my dash so that you can't see it from outside of my car, but it is still very visible from the driver's seat. Only complaint is that it is a biatch to install because you have to run a wire through the engine bay and through the fire wall, which took me a good two hours to work through (because I was retarded and didn't think of putting my car on jacks, though if I had utilized the jacks, it would have taken a significantly less amount of time). haha I'm not spamming, I'm just really happy with the product and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a very good (though reflected in the pricing lol) radar detector

sorry to bump this topic but he ^ asked for pics and i haven't really had time/have been too lazy to take pics, and tonight it was raining out and i wasnt feeling going anywhere in the rain so I took some pictures for ya. and after seeing these pictures, i realized how dirty my floor is... haha i gotta get on that because now that's just gonna bug me knowing my car is dirty until i clean it

the electrical-taped wires in this picture^^^ are the same electrical-taped wires that are going through the firewall in the picture below this writing

oh and i didn't take a picture of the actual sensor that is located in my bumper because (a) once again i'm way too lazy to jack up my car, (b) when I tried to take a picture with a light shining on it through the plastic mesh in the bumper, it just didn't turn out and (c) my car is still wet and I'm not in the mood to get under my car and drown lol it's pretty much just attached on the inside of the very front middle part of my front bumper. works like a charm
