Im having Problems
Every since i put the ATP Eliminator kit on my 01 225, my car has ran like ****.
At first it ran fine, then lately its been sputtering in every gear. I can't take off too fast or it starts sputtering and my check engine light flickers as well. My shop guy told me i have a gasket leak from the downpipe to the cat, on my full APR 3" exhaust. I have the test-pipes from 42draft, and he told me to get the highflow cat because my car is throwing sensors. He drove it and said it could need spark plugs because the car some time back fires and it is running realy rich. He also said that it could be the injectors failing on me that also causes the sputtering. The car drove fine as yall know before i started modding it, it was already chipped before the upgrades. Basicaly im wondering if anyone else has had this problem before and what you did to solve it.
Problems:
sputtering every gear(just about)
back fires when it sputters
exhaust gasket leak
Would me changing the test pipe for the High flow cat bring things back to normal?
would it be the injectors have been maxed out or failing?
would it be the spark plugs and a minor oil leak causing them to misfire and not ignite right?
or a combination of all three?
Also when i start my car it idles at a see-saw just below 1rpm before i get it into drive.
Yall have helped me out since i got the car so now im asking for your help again.
I just want my damn car to drive normal again.
Also here is a link to my car:

I don't think exhaust leaks cause those kind of problems...
-Well you didn't specify what injectors you're running or what boost you're running so no way to tell.
-Spark plugs need to be changed out with a bigger turbo and oil leaks are never good...

im running stock 225 injectors, i turned the boost down to like 7-10psi
last time i did my spark plugs thats when i realy noticed my car acting up, so maybe i didn't do them right? I just turned the boost down again and its still doing the same thing, where is cincy at on this issue also, he has alot of knowledge concerning our cars.

For your spark plugs:
Don't think you're running out of injector capacity...if you have a CEL scan your codes see what it says that should give you a good bit of insight.

For Chiped Cars - .028" gap:
* NGK BKR7E
* Autolite 3922
* Denso Iridium IK22
**Avoid all non copper plugs, reommend to change every or every other oil change to keep from misfiring.
General Rule of thumb: For every additional 50HP over stock, a general rule is 1 heat range colder and gap shrinks by .004
--So, a chipped 1.8T would make good use ofa plug one range colder gapped to .028
>Tightening torque 30Nm (22 ft-lb)
>Tightening torque for Coil Packs 7ft lbs

Its really time you get some real injectors and tune. You car is misfiring like a mother. You should be running atleast 7 heat range with the boost you are running, probably should even go 8 and gap them down further .024. The traction light usually stays on if you set it off so rapidly it cant keep up. Also, the gasket isnt causing any problems but noise. Just remove it or replace it. No reason to dump the cat if you dont want to.
Im guessing maybe the problem is probably the coil packs, based on what my problems are versus the others on the site with the same/similar type symptoms. Im so hoping thats the case for now, i can get a tune for christmas, but i got a baby girl on the way in feburary.
i was gonna say mine did the same and it was the coil packs. but like cincy said upgrading your injectors and doing the rite spark plugs will only help you even more. also i was told to replace all the coils at the same time not just one. they all start going at the same time. how many miles do you have on ur car??
