larger intake filter on the maf. cost under a hundred dollars and if you add a funnel on the inside will flow very nice. Plus get a oiless filter if you can. To much oil on the filter can cause cel for a bad maf and require more maintaince.

The MAF is the Mass Air Flow sensor, it's what most aftermarket intakes connect to.

Personally, I dropped $45 on a K&N panel filter that basically just replaces the stock filter, since the intake setup in the TT is actually pretty good. SUPER easy install (just replace the filter)
I noticed a difference right away and it didn't cost me too much $$.

Highly recommend K&N.

I've ordered a K&N so I'll be adding it this weekend but will also be cutting the bottom of the stock box out to allow a little more air flow. Due to the thickness of the stock box it works as a heat shield of sorts (better than throwing in a cone by itself). A buddy of mine with a TT here in town did that and then "upgraded" to a cone and said that when he "upgraded" he couldn't really tell a difference. We shall see...

where did you get the k&n drop in filter? Also, isnt that an oiled filter? I know the k&n cones are oiled, how about the dropins?

To my knowledge all K&N's and any "lifetime" filter requires to be oiled. You just have to contain yourself and not drown it so to not kill your sensor. I ordered mine from ecstuning. They're about 5-10 bucks cheaper than other places I found and I was ordering from there anyways.
