LED's are not going to draw 10-15 amps. More like milliamps.

As for where to splice your line, I mentioned a good option in my post above, and I'd recommend getting a multi-meter and check when a wire has power or not before you start cutting into things.

Using the wiring to the headlight switch, you have your choice of straight battery power, or switched power, depending on which wire you tap into.

i agree if u splice it into the headlight/ interior light control, you'll be able to turn thm on n off with ur interior lights, and u dont hve excess switches to mount, gives it a cleaner look inside, but thts just me

Not sure if your car comes with heated seats, but if it doesnt you can use the heater switch to tap into.

Oh, and BTW. Horrible idea to add lights to the inside. Especially if you have tinted windows. The glare from the tint will definitely reduce your visibility. I dont let my girl turn the nav on in her lexus when im driving because all i see when i look out the window is the glare from the screen.

Default easier way

...just take a feed from the light in the ashtray.
I used the cheap, low power and utterly excellent 30cm red LED strips off eBay, wired them to this and stuck them in the footwells so they light up with the sidelights. They're very subtle, they look great and like Audi fitted them at the factory. Really pleased with this mod.

Just wanted to say, that I ended up tapping into the 'backing up lights' 10 amp circuit. It works great. I installed it using tap-a-circuit, connected the power supply and light Pos/Neg wires to a toggle and all the negatives to a ground.

It looks great, ill post pictures on here later today.

I like it. It's not visible from outside. There is not a noticeable glare on the window b/c I places the LED's under the dash completely so the lights spreads out at most to my shins while im driving. Although, I don't usually turn them on while im driving, I do sometimes.

I just don't see the need to have them on when im in a rush to get home after a long day. I usually turn them on when I go for a joy ride or go out w/ friends.

Installation was quite easy. The only obstacle while installing these was working w/ the size of the positive and neg wires coming from the LED lights. The wires coming from the LEDs were so tiny, thin, and too short. So I had to make the wires longer so I can route them to the appropriate place. The wire that I bought was an 18 gage compared to the LED light pos/neg wires that were about 1/3 or even 1/4 of this size. This made the wires fall out numerous time during installation due to the connectors being loose on the small wires end.

-Thanks for all the advice by the way.
