Default Installing OEM Downpipe on 225Q

Ok, my wife's '01 225Q roadster has broken its second downpipe (each was good for about 95K miles)--and I've forgotten how to install the new (actually used) one I found on ebay. Does the entire subframe have to come off? I think I recall not having to do that last time. Do I have to disconnect the driveshaft to the rear drive? What about the steering rack? It just doesn't look like things are going to fit in from the bottom. Thanks!

All's well! Thanks to "Audi Tek", the TT is back in service. For those wanting to stay stock with the downpipe and Cats, it is a PITA but I now have the 10-page instructions. (Yes, the steering rack has to come off the subframe, no the driveshaft doesn't need to come off.) Happy to share if anyone needs help. Did discover that I need to replace the front crank seal...but I'll do that when I do the next timing belt replacement (coming up in about 4 months at 200K).
