Question Instrument Cluster Repair - ModuleMaster Experiences

I was told that these folks can fix the infamous instrument cluster problem for under $300 in less than a week:

http://www.modulemaster.com/en/index.php

Apparently I can pop pop out the instrument cluster myself, send it, get it back in 4-5 days, pop it back in and we have blue skies again.

Does anyone have any experience with this business?

Thanks!

Default Cluster

I replaced my cluster with one from a salvage yard and it cost me $300 for the used cluster plus I had to take it to dealer for programming, $100. I don't know if you'll still have to take it to dealer for programming, maybe not since it is your original cluster. Removing the cluster is fairly simple, just be patient and don't force it. It is a tight fit and the steering wheel gets in the way a bit, but it will come out. Look between the top of the steering column and the bottom of the cluster for the cloth flap, and there should be screws hidden behind the flap, if my memory serves me right.

Default Good Experience with ModuleMaster

Hi - I too have 2002 TT and just had the module reworked by MM. They appear to have done an excellent job. I had the full service ($350) that includes replacement of center display - which looks great by the way. I had zero problems with the immobilizer circuit, everything works great. Yes, I recommend them.

I used them and they had a real problem trying to find why my interior red backlighting would not work but Gavin would not give up and finally fixed it, in my opinion he should work for Audi then maybe we would have more reliable cars that we love.
In other words yes Highly recommended.

Not the instrument cluster (yet) but I did send off my ABS module to be rebuilt by Module Master. Although they couldn't repair the ABS (still scratching my head about this because I had the one they adverstised they could repair), I had a positive experience with them. They called me as soon as they got my module to discuss, offered alternative resources (although their resource sent me a broken used part), and promptly refunded my money (minus shipping). When my instrument cluster goes, I still intend to use Module Master.

if you look on their site they tell you how to remove, important to disconnect battery and wait 10 min i think then remove, repairing your cluster will need no reprograming
