instrument cluster resets

About half the time I start the car, the date and time and the trip odometer have reset, the clock to 12:00 and the trip odometer to 0.0. 2001 225 tt coupe. Help!

Check your battery. Make sure the + and - cables are tight.
If you disconnect the battery make sure you have the radio code; just incase...

Battery seems okay. Anything else that could cause this problem? I just got my cluster replaced under the settlement agreement and I hoped this would solve the problem. It did not.

Do you have code for short to/ interminttent ground? Mine kept doing that then I realized my negative terminal cable somehow worked itself stupid loose haha

^^ All good points. Resetting itself probably due to simple electrical connection issue. If you can't find it, take it back to whoever installed your new cluster.
