Hey guys, i was wondering, is there a resonator or a silencer on the stock airboxes that muffles or silences the sound of the intake. Cause if there is I'd like to take it off and maybe for now it'll sound a little better.

 

No....its just the fact that the box is airtight...so u dont hear anything or very little from the outside.......If u want an example of what an intake would sound like...... unscrew the top part of the box..... and turn on the car and rev it

 

Its a tight box do what Camaro did and put a cone filter on it and run around...you wont go back to stock!

 

just think about that for a min...

 

So pretty much there is no way to get air into this box? hmmmm...

 

never thought the air box was so restrictive huh?

 

Well maybe the wording was off a bit...but What i meant to say was.... the top of the box is very tight and it doesnt its job by containing any sound that may be heard outside of the box
