Junk science?

Junk science?
Now I've seen some snake oil devices... (magnet fuel line collars, air tubulance reducers, etc.) that promise the moon yet are simply bullsheet designed to soak gullible people, but now I ran into this thing that TT Stuff is selling.

For the cost, this EvoShield might be worth a try. Has anyone tried it or know anything about this product?

RE: Junk science?
This does look like an easy install, but if you've got a buddy who has worked on cars, have him help you.
Just don't drop any nuts or bolts into any holes (especially when the intake manifold is off!)

Yes it works pretty good I have put it on my tt. If you look under steves foki page he has a install with pics on when he put it on his tt. He also has the dyno results, there is alittle modding with the manifold and the gasket but it was a pretty easy install. I would recomend it especially with a FMIC and higher boost.

Now wait a sec - it says this fits 99 - 06 TT's 225/180 engines - why the need to modify a gasket??? Is this solely for the 225 model engine?
Sorry, I get squeemish around needing to modify what is suppose to be designed FOR something to make it work... lol

No No its for both model engines trust me, its just that you can just bolt it on if you want too, but inorder to get a real good fit, where the edges dont stick in to the intake then you may want to use a dremel just to smooth everything out. When you pull off you old intake manifold gasket then you will see what I mean, it does not fit flush either. So you may want to take a dremel to that, just make sure you blow out all the metal shavings before you put it back in. It works good, it took me and a friend about an three and a half to put it on and everything.
