Default just changed thermostat

Was suprising easy. Took 30 minutes to disassemble/reassemble everything, total time. Now im changing the transmission fluid on monday with Mobil 1 75w90. I was going to do it today, but i noticed the drain and fill bolt is like an inverted socket. Anyone know the size of that and if its availible @ autozone or anything? thanksPS - The reason i am changing the trans fluid is that my gear shifts have been feeling not so smooth, I dont know if the trans fluid has ever been changed b4 i bought the car since audi claims its "lifetime" fluid. Should this clear this up?Im hoping that after i get this done and my new MAF comes in that i can finally have my car running at 100%

what do you mean like an inverted socket? Like a 12 point? Dunno exactly what your course of action is there, but if you're talking about it being a BIG hex head, a bolt w/ 2 jam nuts will do the trick. May have to find a NAPA for a socket to fit if its the 12 point variety.

Tranny drain plugis 14mm hex I believe. The head of a 3/8" bolt, with two nuts locked together works fine. It'sa little tight getting at the fill, but I found a vicegrip on the bolt worked. Put teflon tape on the threads, makes it easier to break free next time (~20K).
