hey.... evey man has his own preference.... doesnt mean they are dumb... but if you want it to do more, get the updated controller that will make it more like a 60/40. then you'll notice a big difference. you could take it out, but you wold also loose your abs. the downside of a FWD is the lack of power. the cost of stripping the car is as much as that afermarket controller.

I hate ********, exspecially ones online. - Lay off someone. Just because something doesn't interest you doesn't mean it doesn't interest someone else.
Yes I agree that it is a rather odd request. But no need to hurt someones feelings or start a fight in the forum. - As I can see from the posts your a newbie...so give it some time before you rag on new members, I dont think you've earned the rights yet. [8D]

Honestly though, from what he has said beforeI too think he may have purchased the wrong vehicle for what he has thus far discussed in these forums. I did something similar many years ago, purchased and built a 72 Firebird into a stripped850 rwhp 9.8s 1/4 mile beast. Damn fast in a straight line, but got old for me very quickly as taking any corner in the rain (lived in Oregon at the time) was a test of super fine throttle control. I soon hated the thing. I sold to someone else within a year and bought myself a little Isuzu Impulse turbo with the Lotus package. Not even nearly as fast, but a lot more fun in the corners. I had spent a lot of time and some money on the wrong car for my tastes with the Firebird, however the guy I sold it to kept it for at least8 years and enjoyed it immensely (I lost touch of him but he was still having a blast with it.)
Not everyone knows exactly what they are looking for at first, and not everyone gets what they think they are getting. audiTT225 doesn't seem to know much about these cars to begin with and seems like he is more used to the Honda tuner scene than he is with these. He also seems to want to tune it in a similar way to those. And I agree with Steve, I think he would be more happy as well with a b16 swapped hatch or some other quick straight line racer, and that is not being sarcastic. Just hope he doesn't kill someone on the roads with it.

I am new to this forum, please be gentle!!!
Everyone should be able to do whatever they choose to their vehicle, it is after all, their vehicle!
That being said, If you wanted to make your TT to be anything other than AWD, you could explore making it RWD only. Remove the front driveline components, modify the diff so that it does not spin the front output shaft, to start. I know of at least 3 WRX's and 1 EVO that had this done. I am unsure of what it would take on your TT, but you could start by checking out the few STI drift setups that are out there. Be warned! This probably will not be cheap!! It will be different though....
