This is a true kill story.

One of my employees has a 87(?) Mustang with the notorious 5.0 under the hood. Kept giving me crap about how he'd squash my Bug even further (funny, they do look like a smashed bug, lol)... I took in all in stride it was all in fun. Then one day, we left the office at the same time and there's a two lane stretch of back road leading to the main freeway here. It's over a mile long and mostly empty as it was this night.

At the light I jumped out and grabbed a good 5 car length lead on his Stanger. Knowing his muscle would overcome mine I kept my girl humming, but at about 1/3 of mile he had closed in within two lengths then suddenly dropped back. Seeing this I thought there was Highway Patrol up ahead and threw my girl into neutral and tapping her brakes, began scanning for black and whites (they stake that stretch out for guys like us all the time).

Seeing nothing up ahead, my cell rings, it's my employee - he had snapped off his harmonic balancer and was stranded back where I had left him. When I rolled up to him, it was quite a sight seeing him standing there with his hood up looking all dejected...

Fortunately I run a vehicle recovery service so he towed his own car home after I gave him a ride back to his truck... lol...

Needless to say, he's a tad quieter now [8D]

Thinking about getting a Ford sticker with a crossed out circle over it for my bumper... lol

I don't think they'll lock it here
there is a section for racing in these forums though with street racing topics.

Little stop light to stop light racing isn't a big deal i don't think long as you keep your top speed in check and are'nt trying to race in traffic or put anyone but your self in danger.

if it's clear from light to light and your willing to risk a ticket do it and tell a good story haha.

I, just the other day was rolling up the highway on a nice day windows down minding my own business and I had a late 90's mustang GT pull up next to me and sort of pass me.. He downshifted, slowed down and let me get next to him. I tried to warn him by stepping on the gas and letting off really quick so my diverter valve blew a nice sound but he wanted to play anyway. I downshifted to third as he did and we both took off. I'm not gonna lie, when we first took off in third we were next to each other, when I went to fourth the a$$ waxing began. Oh, btw he had his girlfriend in the car. I hated to make his american piece of junk look bad.. Those damn mustang people. I got a kick out of it b/c i realized that my motor less than half the size of his. What a waste of a good block!
