limp mode after long drive?
I was driving to central PA yesterday and got into some traffic that I wanted to be clear of. I was in 6th gear, around 70mph and had been driving nonstop for more than two hours. I floor the throttle, and my boost gauge maxes at 5psi. I downshift to 5th and get the same thing. I pull into a rest area and get into 2nd, floor it and still only get 5psi. So I shut the car off, clean the windshield, get mad because I think the car is in limp mode... then start up, take off, and see I'm back to full boost. The rest of the trip was about three hours and it was fine, didn't happen again.Any ideas?
My car only has an intake and Forge splitter for mods so far.

Perhaps a slow Boost Leak? Check your hoses and clamps. Also check they other vaccum hoses for brittleness and leaks. Since you aren't chipped I doubt that your are boosting high enough to be thrown into limp mode. What do you consider full boost? Also if you have a TT225 check the hose coming off the turbo itself. It's a small orange 90 degree hose that is known to fail and become oil soaked and brittle over time. It can slip off just slightly and can cause all sorts for problems.
