limp mode without a code I dont think that's it, have you scanned it? because it could be thecoolant temp sensoror even an O2 sensor or bad catalyst then it could be the canister purge valve but all would leave some code but not necessarily the CEL

my o2 sensor is pretty fresh so it should be ok. I need to take some time to look into it, I've just been busy with school and working on my GT.

when i was hitting limp it was basically the same problem, on the highway, somewhere after 45 mins of driving, which i guess was enough time for the ecu to just throw a hissy fit at the readings from the sensor,

BTW- dont be fooled by the "newness" of a component, 02s are very sensitive, you can fry a brand new one that just got installed by something as simple as fuel additive, (not saying thats what happened) but just advising you of the "surprise" factor.

and yes Tex=vwvortex, im too lazy to type it all out... but now you made me [:@]B@st@rd!!!

fyi takes 2 seconds to plug the vag in, scan the blocks for any archived info by the ecu and then if that is not enough then go for a lil joy ride, if i were you start with the 02s, maf and EGT.

my issue was with faulty EGT reading. Limp is a pre-caution, anything the ecu sees it doesnt like or not int he parameters of the chip tuner will throw into limp. (limp is under the assumption of "better safe than sorry")

^^ very cautious text there and additives dont cover it ( or do they ) the mods can be disruptive because of lack of knowledge of what they do in hard terms ( not like VAG simulated terms ) but I see where your going

Searched on vortex and only see people buying aftermarket ones and people with ko4-23's with them. Still dont think they have one stock.
