very interesting .thinking about doing this but i know how much of a pain it is to change the oil filter/ let alone installing something right there in that tight compact area

that mocal stuff is supposed to be very good. I'm looking at redoing the oil cooler and lines on the 5000CSQ, will probably end up with a mocal cooler. Don't know about a thermostatically controlled sandwich plate though, I'll probably skip that. This is a winter rat, I'm trying to keep it cheap.

yah i'm in the process of looking for a daily driver since i got new rims on my tt i dont wanna drive it this winter/ gonna store it. i found a 90-92 supra turbo for 600 bucks with a blown head gasket. i'm gonna talk to the guy and see if the head and block needs to be resurfaced and if it does i most likely wont buy it. although its a really good price. kbb values it at $5500 good condition.

The 5000 will probably be a winter driver, and possibly, if I can afford to, make it a rally car for the summer. There are a few rally races around NY thru the summer and fall, I like watching, but participating would be even better. I have a friend who's a national champ in turkey for the 1600 class, he can drive, I'll read the pace notes, and hope he doesn't hit a telephone pole like that subaru driver last fall.
