Default Looking to swap my cluster

2001 tt i have a new/used cluster. what tool/programer do i need to complete the swap? VAGdashCOM? if so where do you buy one?
now the tach does not work, the oil pressure shows low and the immob light is on. it starts and runs ok.

You need to have the IMMO defeated. I do not believe this is achievable with vag-com but I am not sure. most people ship there ECU out to someone to defeat the immo then ship bak to you.

i heard that the ross tech cable and software will work? is this true?

No the Ross Tech will not get you what you need. Your easiest (and likely lowest cost) route would be to get it repaired via somewhere like Module Master.
