Misfire Diagnosis
Ugh!
So, I got a diagnostic test on my car today due to some very severe driving issues and it came back claiming that all 4 cylinders were mis-firing.
Let me explain the situation:
Upon starting the vehicile and driving, first gear is very weak up until about 2500RPM, then it loses ALL power. The car will NOT move unless I floor the pedal.
I can drive the car just fine (haha, not really) if I FLOOR the pedal during each gear. After 1st gear, there is no responce unless the gas pedal is pressed 100%, then, there is a .5-1 second delay of nothing, and then all of a sudden the car has 100% power (fast).
I've managed to drive it (school, work) by keeping my gear 1 higher than I normally would have it, and flooring it a bit to get moving.
I just changed the spark plugs, since the old ones looked a little shoddy, and I have some new coil packs coming in the mail on Thursday - but I'm really concerned that this won't fix the issue.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Now I just need a time travel machine, cause Thursday ain't getting here soon enough =/
Are your plugs gapped correctly? Did you take voltage readings at the pack connectors? All 4 coil packs going at once? That would be odd seeing that they are all seperate non-moving components. HHHMMMM, could be a possible ICM issue....just a thought.
Just an update:
Replaced plugs with new NKGs factory gapped at .32,
new Bosch coil packs,
new fuel filter (for kicks)
found a vacuum leak coming off the fuel regulator and got that fixed with a new hose.
Problem still there.
Today, I randomly unplugged my MAF and the car ran FINE - awesome, actually. I then plugged the MAF back in and the car had it's same issues.
Therefor, I ordered a new MAF and hope that will fix the issue. Until then, I am driving with the MAF unplugged.
Now I need to figure out why my power steering is leaking from the driver side tire.. near the CV boot it looks like, but need to take a closer look. My guess is because the fluid was low and I very stupidly put a little normal power steering fluid in it and I bet that ruined things.
Is there a way to simply drain and bleed the system before refilling with the proper fluid?

just as a note for the future. when a coil pack goes out your cylinder is dead. there is no good driving with pedal floored. What was happening in your case is the maf reading was incorrect therefore either flooding the car or runnig it lean. It usually floods the car which clears up when the throttle is open because the air compensates the situation. MAFs go out and when the do all cylinders misfire. I replaced mine 3 times in 2 yrs. but its only happened since i had the chip, and the oil loaded K&N. The oil on the filter will mess it up. I would spray some electric parts cleaner in it and see if it fixes the problem. I did that a few times after which i just barely oil the filter, since Audi wont warranty my MAF anymore.
