Modshack Stage 0
Seafoam is great stuff. It's one of the first things I did to my TT. I did about 1/2 of a can through the fpr vacuum line. Did about 1/2a can through the crankcase and let the engine run and rev for 15 minutes. Then did a whole can through the gas tank. Turned a decently rough motor into an almost silky smooth one.
It's kinda scary to do though. Once you startputing it through the fpr line, the car will seem like it's going to die but it won't. Clouds of billowing smoke will come out your tailpipe as it is burning off allthe crap. You will geta lot of strange looks as a cloud of smoke goes down your street. About 15-20 minutes later the smoke will dissapate and you can drive around to get the rest out.
The crankcase you can drain after 15 minutes, but some people say to leave it in for 300 miles. For me that would have been about a week, but I didn't want to risk that on my first try. Just change the filter and oil after you're done.
Gas is really straight forward. Pour in on your next fill-up.
In my case, it was a dramatically noticeable difference in my idle quality. Try it,you won't be dissapointed.

This is funny for me. One of the reasonsI stopped checking in all the time was the craze for modshack parts. The manual boost controller made from what looked like pool supplies, the ****, VDTA all seemed like a waste yet were highly prized by most of the people here. However,I think I did buy one thing from modshack, the tubro gauge vent adapter which works well as I didn't feel like making my own.

the real reply should have been, savfe your cash for BT and away you go. so that will be my advise to all people that want to mod their TTs/1.8Ts
In all fairness, modshack imo is more geared towards those who want to show and shine their cars and have a little something to say Modshack TTuned and they can say i have "Stage 3 mods" on my car. they ARE easy to install for those who liek to pay others for spark plug changes etc.. so i can see how its practical for some, but for me (and others who want real performance) modshack is one of those things that you just point and chuckle lightl in your head while you politely agree as to how the TT is now 12s car
I will vouch for the GadgeTT and the vent mount ... no doubdts there good workby steve, i cant be bothered to machine thatcr@p out of aluminum soyea ill pay the 20$ for his handywork, also i do have to give him credit for going out there and trying to make money off the uneducated.

^^^i think you are being a little unfair in how your rating Steves stuff...and i;m not just sticking up for Modshack because i have the MS stage 3 products...they all have been tested and all work...yes the VTDA and TTDA are a little restrictive in flow but still better than OEM...the items are a little pricy but he manufactures all this stuff himself so can you blame him? i;m not one of those dumb people over at AW (like BLueTop) who all circle jerk themselves but there are a few people over there that know thier stuff. and i dont go around saying YAY i have a stage 3 audi TT...thats just dumb.
anyways i found this link and i plan on doig it this way...with two vac sources to get an even distribution. http://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/2514475.phtml

i agree, i will share a little, when i 1st got my TT in April 2007, i checked these forums, read the FAW and bam.. was lead to modshack,i asked here what is a good way to start, every reply was save up get modshack stg 3, so i did that and foudn out how inadequate it really is. EVERY REPLY? I dont recall once every telling anyone to get anything from MS but maybe a vent ring.
