intake air temps. there is a sensor just after the throttle body that you can get the temp from with a vag cable. Obvioulsy the lower it is, the more power your going to make.

Telling him to get a tCarbon kit is like telling him to buy a ebay core.... sorry Tylor
i would go APR if i REALLY had to choose between the two, but thats cuz forge for 180 is just plain DUMB.

but .. TCarbon is still reasonable IMO for those looking for a cheapFMIC,and it still does perform far better than the stock. which is what the intention is.

So if tcarbon isn't quite as good as apr or forge, is it really that much worse? I mean, if it is far superior to stock, for 550, it ain't bad-but if it doesn't work all that great, then even 550 isnt worth it...and how much hp can a stock k04 push at the flywheel without overexerting itself..I don't know about all the carbon fiber-that's ridiculous how much those cocksu74ers want for a little piece of it-

hey did yu see the eurodyne FMIC, they are pretty nice too. i dont think they were expensive either. im debating about the TCarbon kit and just ditching their core for a different one and use their piping... still debating.

ill probably go with TCarbon just cuz the price is right.

Not much more than chipped.

the problem is that our cars after you chip them pretty much max out the turbo, (+40-50HP/TQ is a lot on just a tune) you can push it a little more... but it starts to bring them way past their efficiency, thats why u need the IC + W/M, when turbo past its efficiency its blowing very hot air into the IC which is just robbing you of power this is where a more efficient turbo ie can flow more @ less
-- the Law of Dminishing Returns --

its not really sure about how much more the turbo can push, (depends greatly on the current condition of your car and the setup that you have), but i woudl be concerened more about how safe are you to drive that turbo on a daily basis. Last thing you need is a leaking turbo, shot compressor wheel etc. just because you are operating it out of safe specs, even though your IAT are good enough to control predetanation and can run more timing.

The cost of T360 kit with SW< the cost of getting a k04 somewhat close to the t360 set very moderately.

i Honewstly wouldnt be too concerened about crank HP since the WHP is what you can use and not what the flywheel sees.

yea, but thats just the core on its own, nota kit in total.

im gotta get the eurodyne chip tune, so ill see if they can do something for me on teh ICore pricing.

And to get back to you.. for 550 for a whole kit, that doesnt require any hacking up of the front/fabing up fitments on the kit, you wont find better.

And it does perform much much better than the stocks. the jump from Tcarbon to Forge/APR is not THAT huge, but there is a noticable difference, which is they can efficiently lower IAT at higher HP levels. but, the Tcarbon will maintain its designed efficiency at 300WHP which is plenty for me (for now :P) but as i stated, once the kit is in there and installed i can always go for a diff core down the road.

Yea--that sounds just about right..and for the price vs. forge, you can't really beat it
