hey guys/als

i am in a world of hurt, my car is being dificult with me,it allstarted with an engine light and a code p1136 so i change mas flow and it went away for a while, but now is even worst the engine light came back and the car dies after running for a while, to explain a little bit more, i can start the car normal every day let it warm up a bit before i start driving, but after a cupple of miles lets say 3/4 miles the engine whants to die, if i am in motion it just starts back because i can actually pop the clutch and it keeps on running fine for the rest of the way, but if i am on a light or not going fast enough when it happens the car dies and it just does not whant to turn back on
for nothing so i have to wait like 30 minutes and i can just go and starts back up like nothing has happened.I have actually change the collant temp sensor and the mas flow (twice)but i can't understandwhy will itstart normal every day and just after awhile just shut off byits self.

if youhave anyideaslet me know please,ihave some money cumming my way and i whant to fix it and do some mods.

 

Try unplugging the MAF and running it like that. I wont have alot of power becaue the ECU will run off the base map, but it should stay running if you have the same problem then let us know. That would be a good place to start.

 

i did still it did shut down and have the same problem it does not whant to start but this time it was ideling the hole time and after a like 20 min it shut down i thought that it was the engine temp going to high, but my car has ran hot since i have it.

 

I can’t believe it; no one can give me some advice or tell me what they think it is????

 

This isnt a pay service site. Your going to have to search through the forums here, and probally other audi sites to come up with an answer.

Plus it could be a million things. good luck, TT's are a hassel some times ,,

 

Only thing that comes to my mind would be the alternator. I haven't had experience with an alternator
failing on me, but this seems similar to what another AF member was going through.
Just head over to autozone and get it checked should be free.

thanks guys dont get me wrong, i am not blaiming the site i am just saying no one can tell me what it could be, and when i say no one i have talked to a lot of mechanics and no one can say something that makes sense

 

did you try the alternator like vegastt said?.... cause that does make sense

 

got a boost gauge? If so, what psi and vac are you seeing? When it runs, is performance normal? Mods?

 

All good info that is needed to find out what kind of problem you are running into.
