Default In need of a cheap downpipe for my 225

I just purchased a 2001 TT 225 roadster, and I am looking for a cheap down pipe. I know many of you will down upon going the cheap route, but there's no way I can afford a $500-$700 down pipe. If you can make me one for cheap, or know of any cheap ones out there, please let me know!

Thanks for the help!

Caleb

Either look for a used 42dd in the classifieds on forums or get an eBay dp for the 225. However they don't seem to be as good as the fwd versions from eBay.

Default Gut the Stock Converters.

If you can't afford the Down pipe gut the converters. If you live in an area that does not sniff the pipe you will be fine. Even then you may pass. You get a lot of crap about this but all I can tell you is that anytime I have deleted the cats on any car with every thing else stock it was huge gains. Yeah instead of 15hp or whatever they claim for basically free would 8-10 be good? Sure!

Not very big gains on the cat delete.

I could remove the cats entirely but then I would still have the very restrictive downpipe, and I feel as though it would sound terrible with a straight pipe with the stock downpipe
