Just got the audi TT 180 Quattro and the Downpipe went bad, nowI have another problem. I notice that when I am in first gear andI let go of the clutch pedalwith the steering wheel turned slightly there is a "thump/knock" sound in the engine bay around the firewall behind the pedals. The sound is similar to hitting a pot hole. I canfeel the same thump when the steering wheel is straight but its not as strong as whenit is turned. I onlyexperience this sometimes. It does not happen if the car is in neutral andI depress the clutch only in 1st gear.Any help would be greatly apreciated

Lower engine mount.. aka.. dogbone.. You need new bushings.
