Once again i own a 01 TT coupe 180hp quattro and i need new brakes. would like something high performance but don't want to go too far with a crazy expensive setup. Where should i look? how much am i looking to spend?

 

I just upgraded my brakes. Check out http://www.rpiequipped.com they have awesome deals,... i'm pretty sure they have stuff for TTs but not positive because I only pay attention to A4 stuff. I upgraded my front rotors and calipers. Larger front rotor - cross drilled and 4 POT calipers, which are powerful enough to feel a good difference. I also upgraded my back rotors to standard size with cross drilled just to help disapate the heat. If you dont know too much about brakes just check out the cheaper front brake upgrades because back brakes don't do NEARLY as much as front. Right now, just standard you probably have something like 180mm rotor with 2 POT calipers so just look for larger rotors probably cross drilled maybe 220mm and upgrade your calipers to 4 POT have a little more GRAB. K?

 

I upgraded my front rotors to Brembo cross drilled an vented, (same size) with Green Stuff Pads. At the time I let the rears alone (stock). It wasnt a big brake kit by any means but a deffinate improvement. My rear rotors are still good but the pads are going so here shortly I will be putting the greenstuff pads on the back, I expect to see a difference then as well.

 

Oh Yeah, its been awhile but I think the total price for the fronts was something around $400.00? Dont quote me on that, its been a while.
